About Salil
Salil means scion in Arabic and water in Hindi. The name was chosen as the brand is affiliated and is considered as the descendent of Gozour Foundation for Development. Salil and GFD follow the same goals and they are interrelated like roots and water. Our brand creates a link between producers and consumers.
All of our products are handmade by women living in marginalized areas in Egypt. Through our production, we empower and develop the skills of these women through offering them vocational training in different skills such as embroidering, sewing, leather marking etc…
