Rooted in tradition. Made by women.
About Us
Each piece is handcrafted inside a daily ritual where work unfolds slowly and intentionally. Repetition settles into rhythm, and songs accompany the process, melodies that carry memory, patience, longing, and warmth.
At the heart of Salil are the women who craft each piece. They work together in safe and supportive spaces where skill, focus, and well-being guide the process. Through Salil training programs, these artisans refine their craft, gain independence, and honor Egypt’s rich textile heritage. Work done with dignity becomes part of the rhythm that shapes each product — a quiet energy woven into every stitch, fold, and surface.
Over time, sound, movement, and focus shape not just the object, but the feeling it holds.
Our Roots
Born from Purpose
All our products are handmade by women living in marginalized communities across Egypt.
Through Gozour Foundation and Salil, these women receive vocational training in:
Embroidery
Reviving ancient Egyptian stitching techniques. Women learn intricate patterns that tell stories of our culture, turning plain fabric into art.
Leatherwork
Mastering the durability and elegance of leather. From cutting to finishing, our artisans create goods meant to last a lifetime.
Sewing
The foundation of construction. Precision and care go into every seam, ensuring that our bags and home goods are as sturdy as they are beautiful.

Behind Every Stitch
Salil does not follow trends or seasons. It creates objects meant to stay, to move through daily life, to hold what matters, and to remind us that presence, rhythm, and care are values worth carrying.
Salil is shaped by moments, not trends.
